HTC P3700 Diamond broken LCD only replacement
My HTC Diamond's LCD screen was broken by a stupid repairman. I ordered the LCD from Ebay, but did not know that it is very hard to detach LCD from Digitizer without breaking one. I was willing to take the risk. When the LCD was removed , I found out that it is made of many components, plastic sheets, fibre layers etc. The last component of LCD screen was pasted hard to digitizer. So, when screen was removed, digitizer and one last layer was still pasted. In this video, the noise you hear is hair dryer, substitute for heat gun. With my friend blowing, using dryer, and I removed the layer using screw driver! Thanks to the last glue layer, digitizer was safe. Then it was cleaned using petrol, both the digitizer and the new LCD The LCD needs to be soldered to the Digitizer. MICROP error may invoke 1) The "down" volume rocker is stuck and you enter boot screen 2) You were not able to "lock" either the wifi+Bluetooth module cable OR 3) You were not able to "lock" signal cable module to motherboard Both are black cables which have to be locked into the motherboard module. Once you place the LCD in the right place, you need to either glue it or tape it. I taped it using white paper tape.
